Banana Republik

September 2015 - May 2017

At Reed College, I started a fruit club called Banana Republik. Three times each semester, I ran classes during which I taught peers about different fruits of the world while we ate them and described their flavors. My main goals when creating Banana Republik were to provide accessible education about fruit, agriculture, and edible horticulture.

Roles: President, operations director, program host, graphic designer, writer

Note: While the name of the organization was meant to parody the GAP-owned clothing company, I later learned that the name is problematic and I should have chosen a different name for my organization.
