Goal: Parody all doomsday movies and conspiracy theories
Audience: Apocalypse movie lovers and haters (shown at a All-School Meeting in an auditorium)
Message: The 2012 doomsday conspiracy theory is ridiculous, and so are all apocalypse movies; if I could make a doomsday movie parody, this would be the trailer
Technique: Highlight all doomsday movie clichés and say that they are present in this movie. Reference the 2012 doomsday conspiracy theory and how the world reacted to it. Use music from the Two Steps From Hell discography to emulate the epic music used in action/apocalypse films. I used a movie trailer voice to help legitimize the parody.

Goal: Advertise the second printed edition of the Kimball Union Academy Claw (online newspaper)
Audience: The Kimball Union Academy community (shown at an All-School Meeting in an auditorium)
Message: The second printed edition of the KUA Claw is available now, and you should pick up a copy because icons such as Mickey Mouse, Snagglepuss, and Stitch read it
Technique: With only two days notice to create this video, I opted to use vocal impressions over visual expression. I used my own character of Lorraine Parker to "call up" my impressions of Mickey Mouse, Stitch, Pleakley, and Snagglepuss. The conversations I had with my voices were used to convince members of the KUA community to read the Claw, playing off the idea that the Claw is bigger than just a small online newspaper at a New Hampshire prep school. Lorraine is a caricature of my mother's description of my grandmother.

Goal: Create an infomercial parody that could be used to sell SlapChops
Audience: Busy professionals who don't have time to exercise because they need to prepare dinner after work (created and shown for an Anatomy & Physiology class)
Message: Dinner preparation with the Super Slap Chop Muscle Builder Extreme will help build muscle and can replace exercising
Technique: Highlight all infomercial clichés and make them ridiculous. I used my own character Johnny Parker (the son of Lorraine Parker) as the infomercial host. Johnny comes from a cross between a showman on a Brooklyn streetcorner, and the ShamWOW! infomercial host. The voice over the blue informational scene is an impression of infomercial announcer voices.
***This is a parody. The real SlapChop phone number is used***
